Shooting & Archery

There are two main factors involved in choosing lenses for shooting & archery- safety and filters.

A colour filter can make a huge difference to the clarity of what you see depending on the background and target. A pink filter such as Zeiss Sunset Violet is ideal for hunting- this lens offers dramatic contrast between the green background colours and the brown target. A bronze tint is recommended for clay-pigeon and trap shooting.

Tints shouldn’t be too dark, as this causes the pupil to enlarge to let in more light and adversely affects the shooter’s/archer’s performance by blurring the vision.

Polycarbonate is the lens of choice for safety- it is the material used to make bullet proof glass after all.

Our highly trained staff can advise what lens type and colour is most suitable for your activity of choice.
